Germany Student Visa Fraud Uncovered; Three Women Offloaded at Karachi Airport

Karachi: The Federal Investigation Agency (Federal Investigation Agency) Immigration authorities have uncovered an alleged student visa fraud scheme after offloading three women passengers bound for Germany on suspicion of carrying questionable educational documents.

According to an FIA spokesperson, the passengers identified as Nida, Gulnaz, and Aqsa were stopped during immigration clearance. Nida and Gulnaz were traveling on German student visas, while Aqsa held a German residence permit.

During questioning, Nida and Gulnaz were reportedly unable to provide satisfactory details about their academic programs or planned studies in Germany. Authorities said both women admitted that they had not studied at any college or university in Pakistan.

Investigators further revealed that Aqsa has been residing in Germany for the past ten years and was allegedly facilitating visa processing, blocked account arrangements, and the preparation of educational documents for prospective applicants.

According to the FIA, a search of Aqsa’s mobile phone led to the recovery of suspicious mark sheets, academic records, signatures, and other material allegedly linked to the preparation of fake educational documents.

The investigation also identified a Karachi-based agent, Humayun, who allegedly provided forged educational documents to applicants for Rs150,000 per person.

FIA officials said the three women have been offloaded and transferred to the agency’s Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC) in Karachi for further legal proceedings, while investigations into the alleged visa fraud network are ongoing.
