Man Arrested in Karachi for Harassing Women and Recording Obscene Videos

Karachi: Police have arrested a suspect accused of harassing women by secretly recording obscene videos in the city’s South Zone, officials said.
According to a spokesperson for the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) South Zone Karachi Police, the suspect was taken into custody following a complaint regarding the harassment incident. Police acted swiftly on the report and launched an investigation, leading to his arrest.
Authorities stated that an initial raid was conducted at the suspect’s residence, but he managed to escape at the time. However, South Zone police later tracked him down and arrested him in a follow-up operation.
Based on the complainant’s statement, the incident occurred on May 29, 2026, when the victim’s wife noticed a suspicious individual standing in a street and allegedly recording video through a bathroom window while she was bathing inside the home.
Police identified the arrested suspect as Sabir, son of Qadir. A case has been registered against him, and further legal proceedings are underway, the spokesperson confirmed.
