Body of Drowning Victim Recovered from Bhallonk River After Prolonged Rescue Operation
KHUZDAR: The body of a young man who drowned in Bhallonk River in Tehsil Khuzdar’s Karakh area has been recovered by police after a prolonged rescue operation lasting several hours.
According to reliable sources, the young man went missing after he either slipped while bathing or was swept away by strong water currents in the river the previous day. As soon as the incident was reported, local police along with a large number of area residents reached the site and launched a rescue operation.
Despite limited resources, police personnel continued search efforts for several hours and eventually succeeded in retrieving the body from the depths of the river.
The body was immediately shifted to a nearby medical facility for necessary legal formalities. After completion of official procedures, the body was handed over to the family. The tragic incident caused grief and mourning in the household and the surrounding area.
Local social and civil society members have urged the district administration to take effective safety measures at rivers, picnic spots, and other dangerous water points, and to install warning boards to prevent such tragic incidents in the future.
