Gwadar Port Enhances Operational Capacity, Strengthens Global Trade Role

Gwadar: Gwadar Port continues to expand its modern port capabilities, playing an increasingly important role in regional and international trade.
The port has achieved a significant milestone by successfully handling over 53,277 metric tons of cargo. A vessel, MV B Jia Shan, arriving from China was efficiently berthed at Gwadar Port as part of ongoing operations.
The ship, which was originally bound for Sohar Port in Oman, was diverted to Gwadar for transshipment activities. During the operation, approximately 20,669 steel billets were successfully handled, marking another major achievement for the port’s cargo management system.
Officials noted that the safe berthing of a large vessel with a 12.8-meter draft highlights Gwadar Port’s modern infrastructure and operational capacity. The successful handling of MV B Jia Shan also reflects growing confidence of international shipping companies in the port’s facilities.
Gwadar Port is increasingly seen as a key logistics hub, strengthening trade connectivity between China, the Middle East, and Central Asia.
