Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Attends International World Urban Forum in Baku
Baku: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has arrived in Azerbaijan on an official visit to participate in the international “World Urban Forum” being held in Baku.
Upon her arrival at the forum venue, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva warmly welcomed Maryam Nawaz Sharif. The leaders also posed for a group photograph during the reception ceremony.
Maryam Nawaz is scheduled to deliver a keynote address at the World Leaders Summit being held at the Baku Olympic Stadium. During her speech, she will present the Punjab government’s flagship housing initiative, “Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar” (Your Roof, Your Home), before an international audience.
According to officials, Punjab’s affordable housing model will also be showcased as a case study at the Pakistan Pavilion for international delegates. The initiative is expected to highlight Pakistan’s housing reforms and urban development efforts on the global stage.
