ISPR Responds Strongly to Indian Army Chief’s Remarks, Calls Statement “Provocative

Rawalpindi: The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Sunday issued a strong response to recent remarks made by the Indian Army Chief, describing the statement as provocative and reflective of extremist Hindutva ideology.
According to the ISPR, the Indian Army Chief had stated in an interview that Pakistan must decide whether it wants to remain part of geography or history. Reacting to the remarks, the Pakistani military’s media wing said the statement was an attempt to ignore historical realities and demonstrated India’s hostile mindset towards Pakistan.
The ISPR emphasized that Pakistan is a declared nuclear power and a permanent part of South Asia with significant global importance. It added that the statement showed the Indian leadership had still not accepted the reality of the Two-Nation Theory even after eight decades.
The military spokesperson further stated that threatening a nuclear-armed neighboring country with elimination was neither strategic nor responsible, calling it a sign of “mental extremism” and a path towards destruction. The ISPR said responsible nuclear states demonstrate restraint, wisdom, and strategic maturity.
The statement also accused India of promoting terrorism and instability in the region, warning that aggressive policies could push South Asia towards another crisis or war. The ISPR urged India to adopt peaceful coexistence with Pakistan, adding that New Delhi’s aggressive posture reflected frustration over its failure to harm Pakistan’s interests.
