Ex-Servicemen Body Urges Nobel Peace Prize Nomination for Field Marshal Asim Munir

Rawalpindi: The Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society has called for the nomination of Pakistan’s Chief of Defence Forces and Army Chief Asim Munir for the Nobel Peace Prize, citing his role in promoting global peace, reducing tensions, and encouraging international dialogue.

Speaking at a gathering held at a private hotel in Rawalpindi, the organization’s Chief Organizer and Media Coordinator Aziz Ahmed Awan said that under Field Marshal Asim Munir’s leadership, Pakistan’s global image has significantly improved, helping the country regain a respectable position on the international stage.

He stated that in the past, Pakistan faced diplomatic challenges due to what he described as Indian propaganda. However, in recent years, effective policies and strategies have helped project a more positive image of Pakistan worldwide.

Awan added that the international community increasingly views Pakistan as a responsible, peace-loving country playing a constructive role, while anti-Pakistan narratives are weakening.

He further noted that alongside strengthening defense capabilities, notable diplomatic achievements have also been made under Munir’s leadership, with Pakistan moving toward greater internal stability and economic strength.

The Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society formally demanded that Asim Munir be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of his contributions to global peace, de-escalation of conflicts, and promotion of dialogue, stating that his efforts hold significance not only for Pakistan but for international peace as well.
