Alleged Audio of ‘Pinky’ Goes Viral Before Arrest in Drug and Arms Case; Police Launch Inquiry Over Court Appearance

KARACHI: An alleged audio recording of Anmol alias “Pinky,” who is currently under arrest in a narcotics and illegal arms case, has surfaced on social media, reportedly recorded before her detention.
In the viral audio, the accused is purportedly heard claiming that certain individuals had been pursuing her for years but had failed to arrest her. She allegedly states that efforts to apprehend her had been ongoing for 8 to 9 years without success.
The voice in the recording further suggests that with the right mindset, individuals could “become a brand like her,” and claims she remains active across Karachi, challenging authorities to arrest her if they can.
Meanwhile, the accused was presented before a local court in Karachi in connection with narcotics recovery and illegal weapons charges, where she was sent to jail on judicial remand.

Following the court appearance, Karachi Police Chief Azad Khan took notice of the suspect being produced without handcuffs and ordered an inquiry into the matter. He also directed the case to be reported to the South Headquarters and called for the formation of a senior-level investigation committee to ensure transparency.
Sindh Interior Minister Zia-ul-Hasan Lanjar also took notice of the incident and sought a detailed report from the Additional IG. He questioned how the suspect was provided protocol-like treatment and demanded accountability from responsible officials.
Authorities have initiated investigations into both the alleged audio clip and the procedural handling of the suspect’s court appearance.
