Islamabad: Deep divisions have emerged within the **Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)** as the recent **aggressive statements by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohaib Afridi** and **provincial president Junaid Akbar** have sparked serious concern among senior party leaders.
According to party sources, the **strong and confrontational tone** adopted by both leaders has alarmed PTI’s top leadership, including **Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan**, **former Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur**, **Senator Shibli Faraz**, and **Sheikh Waqas Akram**, who have all expressed reservations over their remarks.
Sources reveal that **Ali Amin Gandapur** has **warned** that the statements made by the Chief Minister and provincial president could **endanger the stability** of PTI’s only remaining government. He reportedly stressed that the party should focus on **strengthening the provincial setup** instead of engaging in unnecessary confrontations.
Insiders further disclosed that **Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Shibli Faraz, and Sheikh Waqas Akram** have also opposed the **anti-establishment rhetoric**, urging restraint and political maturity in the current climate.
The growing unease within the party has raised concerns that if the **provocative statements continue**, the PTI government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa could face **serious instability**, potentially leading to a **repeat of the unrest witnessed on May 9**.
