Woman and Accomplice Arrested for Stealing Gold Jewelry Worth Rs 2.7 Million from House in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: Police in New Town have arrested a woman and her accomplice in connection with a burglary case involving the theft of gold jewelry worth over Rs 2.7 million from a residential house.
According to police officials, the suspects were found in possession of stolen items, including 6 tolas of gold jewelry and Rs 150,000 in cash, which was reportedly earned from selling part of the stolen valuables.
Investigators revealed that the robbery was allegedly planned and executed by the daughter of a domestic worker along with her accomplice. The arrested woman was residing in a servant quarter with her parents at the time of the incident.
During the investigation, police expanded the scope of inquiry and interrogated the domestic worker’s daughter, who reportedly confessed to committing the theft along with her partner.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Rawal, Saad Arshad, stated that the accused will be sent to court along with solid evidence, and further legal proceedings will follow.
Police said the investigation is ongoing to determine if any other individuals were involved in the crime.
