National Party Claims It Holds the Key to Solving Balochistan’s Problems, Criticizes “Artificial Leadership”

Mastung: Leaders of the National Party have said that the solution to the problems of Balochistan lies only with their party, alleging that “artificial leadership” has brought nothing to the province except instability, unemployment, and poverty.
The statement was made during the third District Council session of the National Party Mastung held at the District Council Hall in Mastung. The meeting was dedicated to party founders and late leaders, including Jahangir Baloch, Shaheed Mir Ghulam Hassan Sarpara, and Shaheed Mir Tanveer Jan Malazai.
The session was presided over by Provincial President Chairman Aslam Baloch, while Provincial General Secretary Advocate Changiz Hai attended as chief guest.
The meeting began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by District Coordinator Haji Nazeer Bugti. During the first session, district general secretary Sajad Dahwar presented the organizational report, followed by detailed reports from various tehsil presidents and the labor wing.
Party leaders discussed organizational matters and suggested reforms while participating in the debate on reports.
Speakers strongly condemned what they described as the “enforced disappearance” of BSO-Pajjar central senior vice chairman Babal Malik Baloch, allegedly by state institutions, demanding his immediate recovery and release.
They said that peaceful political and student activists should not be treated as security threats and urged authorities to respect democratic political struggle.
The leaders also stressed that border trade should not be disrupted, as it is a major source of livelihood for hundreds of thousands of people. They warned that if the government cannot provide jobs, it should not deprive people of existing economic opportunities.
They further said that people of Balochistan are not asking for special benefits but only demand implementation of the 1973 Constitution and the 18th Amendment in true spirit.
Addressing the gathering, party leaders claimed that the National Party is the only political force capable of resolving Balochistan’s issues through peaceful and democratic means.
They criticized the 2024 general elections, alleging that public mandate was “stolen” and an artificial leadership was imposed, which they said has resulted in worsening law and order, unemployment, and poverty.
The meeting concluded with the distribution of membership forms by the provincial leadership and the formulation of a future political strategy.
