Balochistan Home Minister Absent During Prime Minister’s Quetta Visit Amid Security Concerns

Quetta: Balochistan Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langau was reportedly absent during Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Quetta despite the province’s ongoing security challenges and deteriorating law and order situation.

According to reports, when Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Quetta on Friday, the provincial home minister was not present at the airport to receive him.

The reports further stated that Langau also did not attend a series of high-level meetings held during the prime minister’s visit, where the security situation and restoration of law and order in Balochistan were expected to be key agenda items.

His reported absence from these important engagements has drawn attention given the province’s current security environment. However, no official explanation has been issued regarding his absence from the prime minister’s visit or the security-related meetings.
