Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Facing Worst Governance Crisis, Says Maulana Abdul Wasay
JUI leaders demand government to present two-year performance report; accuse rulers of incompetence and political victimization

**Quetta (Qudrat Daily):**
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) Balochistan Ameer **Senator Maulana Abdul Wasay** and General Secretary **Maulana Agha Mahmood Shah** have said that **Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa** are currently experiencing the **worst governance crisis**, where law and order have collapsed, government departments are paralyzed, and the public is gripped by despair.
In a joint statement, the JUI leaders demanded that the government **present its two-year performance report** before the people, explaining what progress has been made in Balochistan, which development projects have been initiated, what efforts were made at the federal level for the province’s rights, and what practical steps were taken for **public welfare**.
They said the government’s tendency to **blame previous administrations for bad governance** is merely an excuse to hide its own failures. “This crisis of mismanagement began after the JUI’s tenure,” they added, noting that during their time in office, the system was based on **merit, transparency, and public service**.
Highlighting JUI’s achievements, Maulana Wasay stated that during their tenure, **provincial resources increased significantly**, Balochistan’s share in the **NFC Award** was enhanced, and the **provincial budget** grew from just a few billion to over a trillion rupees — a result of JUI’s dedicated efforts.
He further said that the JUI **sacrificed power for principles** over the **Reko Diq project**, and the party’s role in **CPEC** remains a “golden chapter” in history. In contrast, he alleged that the current government is busy with **political victimization, nepotism, and incompetence**, plunging the province into a severe **political and administrative crisis**.
Concluding their statement, the JUI leaders asserted that **Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam** is the only political force that truly represents the province’s resources and has the capacity to **transform the fate of the people**, ensuring stability and sustainable development in Balochistan.
