Our Forces Gave India a Crushing Response, Says Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif

Islamabad: Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan’s armed forces gave India such a strong response during the “Battle of Haq” that “the enemy feared for its survival.”
He made the remarks during a ceremony held at Pakistan Monument to mark one year since the conflict known as “Marka-e-Haq.”
The event was attended by Chief of Defence Forces Asim Munir, senior military and civilian leadership, the chiefs of the Pakistan Air Force and Navy, foreign diplomats, and other officials.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan’s international standing had risen after the conflict and praised the leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir.
“The Battle of Haq will always be remembered under the leadership of the Field Marshal,” he said, while also thanking Saudi Arabia, China, and other friendly countries for their support.
He added that Pakistan had been granted “great honor” during the conflict and praised the armed forces for their performance against India.
The Prime Minister said the role of the Pakistan Air Force was central to the operation, stating that its personnel exposed what he described as the “myth of Indian air superiority.”
He also paid tribute to the Pakistan Navy and its chief for their role during the confrontation.
Shehbaz Sharif further claimed that Pakistan’s narrative based on “truth” had prevailed internationally and accused India of failing to provide evidence regarding the alleged Pahalgam false-flag operation.
He honored the martyrs of the conflict and reiterated Pakistan’s continued political and diplomatic support for Kashmir.
Referring to regional tensions, the Prime Minister said Donald Trump had played an important role in achieving a ceasefire between Pakistan and India, adding that a war between two nuclear-armed states could have had catastrophic consequences.
He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to eliminating terrorism, saying the country would continue operations against militant groups.
In another significant statement, the Prime Minister revealed that Field Marshal Asim Munir had informed him that Pakistan had received Iran’s response intended for the United States.
