Mother and 9-Month-Old Daughter Fall into Open Manhole in Lahore; Father Suspects Foul Play

A mother and her nine-month-old daughter fell into an open manhole near the main gate of Data Darbar in Lahore, prompting a rescue operation, while the woman’s father has raised suspicions of foul play. Police have arrested three individuals, including the mother’s husband, in connection with the case.
According to Express News, Rescue 1122 received a call reporting that a woman and her infant had fallen into a manhole near Bhatti Gate, close to the Data Darbar main entrance. Emergency vehicles were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Rescue 1122 spokesperson said that upon receiving the call, teams were deployed to start search and recovery operations. Preliminary reports indicate that authorities had dug manholes near Paranda Market, and the mother and daughter accidentally fell into one due to poor lighting in the area.
The rescue operation is ongoing, and authorities are working to recover the mother and child safely while investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
