Barrister Gohar Expresses Concern Over Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi’s Health, Calls for Court Action

RAWALPINDI (Web Desk) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan has expressed serious concern over the health condition of party founder Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi, stating that repeated weekly requests for meetings have not been allowed since October.
Speaking to the media on Adiala Road, Barrister Gohar said that the party has been regularly attempting to arrange meetings but has not been granted access. He said there is “significant concern” regarding the health of both Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi.
He added that well-wishers of the country do not obstruct meetings and stressed that facilitation of such interactions would “add to national unity and morale.” Referring to national developments, he praised the role of the armed forces and public unity in strengthening Pakistan’s defense and national standing.
Barrister Gohar said that Pakistan’s institutions are facing a challenging situation and claimed that the country is in a “difficult phase,” with multiple state institutions appearing aligned in their approach. He also said the media is facing pressure due to legal and economic challenges, while the judiciary has not yet heard pending appeals related to Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi’s cases.
He warned that delays in judicial proceedings could further complicate the situation and urged the courts to decide the appeals in accordance with the Constitution and law without creating additional legal complications.
The PTI chairman further stated that Imran Khan cannot be separated from the public, calling him a central political figure whose popularity remains intact. He also alleged that attempts to “marginalize” the party founder are part of efforts to create divisions within the party and family.
Barrister Gohar emphasized that the party’s focus remains on the release and medical treatment of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi. He reiterated that internal party matters should be handled with unity and that differences should be set aside in the current political situation.
He also confirmed that there is no possibility of changing the Chief Minister, and described Imran Khan’s sisters as respectable figures, urging party members to maintain coordination with them.
Barrister Gohar concluded that he holds his position as a trust from Imran Khan and will continue to represent him as long as confidence remains. He expressed hope that political conditions will improve and stressed the need for timely dialogue and judicial decisions to avoid further instability.
