Saudi Arabia Urges Restraint, Backs Pakistan’s Mediation Amid Rising Regional Tensions

In response to escalating tensions in the region, Saudi Arabia has called on all parties to exercise restraint and avoid further provocation, while expressing support for Pakistan’s mediation efforts.
In an official statement, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs voiced deep concern over the ongoing military escalation and emphasized the need to de-escalate the situation through patience and dialogue.
The statement highlighted Saudi Arabia’s backing of Pakistan’s diplomatic initiatives aimed at reaching a political solution that would prevent further instability in the region. The ministry warned that continued tensions could undermine regional and global security and stability.

Saudi Arabia also stressed the importance of restoring safe navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
Earlier, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman held a telephone conversation with Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during which he strongly condemned what he described as unjustified Iranian attacks targeting the United Arab Emirates.
The Crown Prince reaffirmed Riyadh’s full support for the UAE in safeguarding its security and stability.
