Ministry of Law Issues Notification for Transfer of Three Islamabad High Court Judges

Islamabad: The Ministry of Law and Justice has issued a formal notification regarding the transfer of three judges from the Islamabad High Court to different provincial high courts.
According to the notification, Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani has been transferred from the Islamabad High Court to the Lahore High Court. Similarly, Justice Babar Sattar has been transferred to the Peshawar High Court, while Justice Saman Riffat Imtiaz has been moved to the Sindh High Court.
The notification stated that the Judicial Commission approved the transfers under Clause 1 of Article 200 of the Constitution. It further mentioned that the notification was issued after approval by the President of Pakistan, on the advice of the Prime Minister, with the Acting President endorsing the transfers under Paragraph 7.
Officials confirmed that the Judicial Commission had approved the transfer of the three judges earlier through a majority decision. The Ministry of Law and Justice formally issued the notification following the constitutional and administrative approvals.
