Governor Sindh Announces 80-Yard Plots for Lyari Tragedy Victims

Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori has announced the provision of 80-yard plots for the victims of the Lyari building collapse tragedy. Speaking to the media in Karachi, he confirmed his visit to Lyari without wasting any time after arriving in the city. He also stated that he would send all his suggestions regarding the incident to the Sindh government through a formal letter.
Governor Tessori emphasized that the building collapse incident in Lyari was no small tragedy, and he assured that there would be no silence on the matter. He vowed to ensure that those responsible would be held accountable. He appreciated the remarks made by Nabil Gabol and Saeed Ghani on the issue.
He further revealed that the Governor House would play an active role in providing relief to the affected families, including offering them ration and employment opportunities. He also mentioned that the Sindh government would pay six months’ rent to those being displaced and provide them with housing in the same locality.
Kamran Tessori expressed his solidarity with the Hindu community and the victims, announcing that a dedicated help line, 1133, had been set up at the Governor House. He concluded by reaffirming his commitment to helping the victims, including giving them 80-yard plots, as a part of the relief effort.
He also noted that a large group of people stood in support, chanting slogans in his favor.
