Wave of Violence, Terrorism and Accidents Across Balochistan Leaves 3 Dead, 12 Injured, 2 Abducted

Quetta – A series of violent incidents, terrorism attacks, kidnappings, armed robberies, clashes, and natural accidents across different districts of Balochistan have left at least three people dead, including a police official and a woman, while 12 others were injured and two persons abducted.
In Pishin, unidentified armed assailants attacked a police checkpoint in Killi Harmazai, resulting in the martyrdom of Head Constable Nematullah. The attackers managed to escape after the incident. Police and security forces have launched a search operation in the area.
In Turbat’s Absar Band Bazaar area, a woman identified as Zulaikha was shot dead in a firing incident. Police arrested the alleged suspect, Abdul Razzaq son of Muhammad Yousaf, and have begun further investigation.
Separately, in Nasirabad’s Notal police jurisdiction, armed men intercepted and abducted two individuals, identified as Muhammad Ali and Haji Khan Pindrani, from the Pindrani tribe at Chattar Pindrani Bridge. The kidnappers fled to an unknown location, raising concerns over repeated abduction incidents in the region.
In Sohbatpur, armed robbers stormed the residence of former District Education Officer Ghulam Hussain Khosa in Goth Bhind Sharif. The attackers held family members hostage, including noted poet Fida Hussain Khosa, and looted a vehicle, Rs700,000 in cash, gold jewelry, and mobile phones before escaping.
Violence in other areas also left several injured. In Jhal Magsi’s Gandawah area, a clash between two groups of the Khaskheli tribe over a marital dispute injured six people, three of them critically. Police intervened and shifted the injured to hospital.
In Dera Murad Jamali, three people were injured in a children’s quarrel, while another three were injured in separate traffic accidents and were moved to a teaching hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, in Qila Saifullah, a tragic lightning strike during thunderstorms claimed the life of a local resident on the spot.
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) and local administration have advised citizens to avoid open areas, trees, and electric poles during bad weather conditions.
Police in all concerned districts have registered cases and launched raids to arrest the suspects involved in the incidents.
