Balochistan Achieves 100% Transparent Use of Development Budget for First Time: CM Sarfraz Bugti

**Quetta:** Chief Minister Balochistan **Mir Sarfraz Bugti** has said that for the first time in the province’s history, **100 percent of the allocated development budget has been utilized in a transparent and effective manner**, reflecting improved planning, financial discipline, and good governance by the provincial government.

The chief minister expressed gratitude to **Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif** for his special interest and cooperation with Balochistan, stating that due to the prime minister’s directives and personal attention, major development projects—including the **Quetta–Karachi National Highway**, the establishment of **Danish Schools in Balochistan**, and approval of several other key initiatives—have been sanctioned. He said these projects would prove to be milestones in the province’s social and economic development.

Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that Balochistan’s situation is fundamentally different from other provinces due to its vast geography, scattered population, and persistent security challenges, which complicate the development process. Despite these hurdles, he added, the provincial government has achieved notable successes by ensuring the restoration of peace, public welfare, and continuity of development projects.

He made these remarks on Thursday while speaking during meetings and a session chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, attended by members of the National and Provincial Assemblies, provincial ministers, leaders of allied parties, and opposition members.

The chief minister emphasized that due to its unique economic, social, and geographical conditions, **Balochistan requires sustained and special attention from the federation**. He said the provincial government, in collaboration with the federal government, is taking serious, coordinated, and result-oriented measures to pull the province out of backwardness and integrate it into the national development mainstream.

He further stated that the performance of the Balochistan government, improvements in law and order, and progress on development initiatives have also been **acknowledged at the highest military forum**, which he described as proof that the province is moving in the right direction. He added that positive outcomes in stability and development are emerging due to close coordination between federal, provincial, and military institutions.
