Network of Facilitation for Imran Khan at Adiala Jail Uncovered
Rawalpindi:Significant progress has been made in the investigation into the facilitation of Imran Khan at Adiala Jail, with security agencies uncovering a complete network led by the former Deputy Superintendent of Adiala Jail, Muhammad Akram.
Sources indicate that Muhammad Akram’s entire network within the jail has been apprehended. The investigation has also expanded to include two other officers: the Assistant Superintendent of Adiala Jail and former Deputy Superintendent Zafar. Both officers were closely associated with Akram.
Further questioning is planned for six additional employees based on information obtained from Muhammad Akram. These include Akram’s two orderlies, three warders, and a head warder, all of whom are considered to be his close associates. There has been notable progress regarding the provision of mobile phone facilities to the founder of PTI, with evidence found linking mobile phones used for WhatsApp communications to numbers from three European countries.
Muhammad Akram, who was removed from his position, is alleged to have provided messaging and facilitation services for PTI’s founder. Having served a total of over 15 years in various roles at Adiala Jail, Akram’s network has been dismantled. A meeting of the jail administration is expected to address the unauthorized facilities and messaging issues concerning the PTI leader.
