DG ISPR Denies Civilian Casualties in Kabul Explosions, Says Target Was Taliban Ammunition Depot

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), has clarified that the recent explosions in Kabul targeted an Afghan Taliban ammunition and weapons depot, including drone facilities, and not civilian areas.

Speaking on the Geo News program Capital Talk, General Chaudhry said the blasts were large enough to be seen across the city. He dismissed reports of civilian casualties as “propaganda,” emphasizing that many Taliban fighters do not wear uniforms and often blend in with civilian populations.

He also stated that the Taliban use drug-addicted individuals for suicide attacks and accused India of supplying drones to the Afghan Taliban for operations against Pakistan.

General Chaudhry stressed that Pakistan has no conflict with the Afghan public and that it is the militants who are holding the Afghan people hostage. The ISPR chief reiterated that all military actions are focused on countering terrorist infrastructure rather than civilians.
