National Party Slams “Fake Rulers,” Alleges Rigging Through Form 47 in Quetta Elections

QUETTA: The National Party has strongly criticized the political situation in Quetta, alleging that “fake rulers imposed through Form 47” have no real public mandate and that governance in the province is marked by corruption and worsening law and order.
The remarks were made during a consultative meeting of Chiltan Town Union Council chairmen held under the chairmanship of District President Haji Ata Muhammad Bangulzai at the party office in Quetta.
Party leaders said that in the last general elections, public mandate was allegedly ignored and electoral outcomes in Quetta were manipulated. They claimed that the current representatives imposed through “Form 47” have no genuine role or acceptance among the public.
Speakers further alleged that corruption and insecurity have reached alarming levels in the province, while ruling parties have failed to deliver on governance promises. They added that the government’s avoidance of local body elections reflects political panic and insecurity.
Referring to previous local government polls, party leaders claimed that ruling parties even approached courts to avoid electoral processes, while the National Party demonstrated strong performance in both general and local elections.
The meeting also discussed new constituency delimitations proposed by the Election Commission. Party representatives presented objections and suggestions, reaffirming their commitment to strengthen grassroots mobilization and take the party’s message to every household.
Several local leaders, including Agha Ziauddin Hazara, Haji Yasir Bangulzai, and others, also addressed the meeting and reiterated support for the party’s political program.
