Viral Memes Featuring JD Vance and Modi Spark Reactions in India

Washington: A wave of viral, AI-generated memes featuring US Vice President JD Vance has taken social media by storm following his recent visit to Islamabad for peace talks with Iran.

The memes, widely shared across platforms, humorously depict Vance in various پاکستانی settings — from eating local dishes like chapli kebab and anda paratha to riding cycle rickshaws and buses, and even performing bike stunts. In some images, he is shown enjoying traditional tea and street food, blending into everyday life in Pakistan.

One widely circulated meme, also highlighted by the New York Post, portrays Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi serving tea to Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, and JD Vance in a fictional Islamabad setting.

The meme triggered backlash among some Indian social media users, who expressed anger over the portrayal of their prime minister in a satirical context.

Other viral content shows Vance holding snack packets, visiting markets, mosques, and tourist spots, and even reacting humorously to Karachi’s road conditions — mistakenly comparing them to scenes of destruction.

Additionally, memes have also begun circulating a potential visit by US President Donald Trump to Pakistan, further fueling online engagement.

While entirely fictional, these AI-generated memes highlight how social media users are creatively blending humor with current geopolitical developments, turning serious diplomatic events into viral entertainment.
