Shalimar Express Derails Again Near Sheikhupura, Rail Traffic Disrupted

Lahore: The Karachi-to-Lahore Shalimar Express (27-Up) derailed once again near Sheikhupura, just two days after a previous incident involving the same train.
According to details, several coaches of the train went off the track while passing through the Machike area, causing a temporary suspension of rail traffic on the route.
A relief train has been dispatched from Lahore, and railway officials expect the rescue and restoration operation to be completed by around 12:00 PM.
Due to the accident, train services between Faisalabad and Lahore, as well as Lahore to Faisalabad, are likely to face delays.
It is worth noting that earlier this week, on Wednesday, the Shalimar Express had also derailed near Shahdadpur, raising concerns over railway safety and track conditions.
