Arshad Nadeem Shines at Paris Olympics, Wins Gold Medal for Pakistan

Islamabad:Arshad Nadeem, the javelin thrower who brought honor to Pakistan at the Paris Olympics, expressed his gratitude upon his return to the country, saying he is thankful to Allah for winning the gold medal.

Nadeem arrived back in Pakistan after 40 years, bringing home a gold medal from the Paris Olympics. He flew into Lahore from Paris via Turkey. His flight, TK 714, landed at Allama Iqbal International Airport at 1:25 AM.

A water cannon salute was given to Nadeem’s aircraft upon arrival at Lahore Airport. During his media interaction upon his return, Nadeem expressed his thanks to the nation and his parents for their prayers, stating that his success is the result of immense effort and dedication. He also expressed gratitude to the government, the Punjab Sports Board, and all those who supported him, highlighting his impressive performance in the Diamond League.

Nadeem praised his parents, the nation, and the media for their support, and thanked the Prime Minister, noting that he feels like a result of the leader’s efforts. He also acknowledged the support from the Punjab Sports Board, the federation, and other contributors. He expressed great happiness over winning the gold medal at the Olympics and committed to thorough preparation for upcoming events.

Arshad Nadeem set a new Olympic record with a throw of 92.97 meters in the men’s javelin throw event, securing Pakistan’s first individual gold medal in Olympic history. His achievement has brought significant pride to the nation and elevated Pakistan’s stature on the global stage.
