Heavy Rain, Hailstorm Hit Balochistan; Flooding Reported in Several Areas

Quetta (Qudrat Daily) – Several parts of Balochistan have been hit by heavy rain and hailstorms, triggering flooding in multiple المناطق, particularly in the northeastern and Pak-Afghan border regions.

According to the control room, strong winds blowing at speeds of 40 to 50 km/h accompanied the storm. Torrential rain was recorded in areas including Pishin, Khanozai, Bostan, Harmzai, Barshore Kan Mehterzai, Toba Achakzai, Toba Kakari, Loi Band, Muslim Bagh, and Qamar Din.

Floodwater flowing from the Suleman Khel mountains entered nearby villages, creating a flood-like situation in several localities. Hailstorms were also reported, causing damage to crops and orchards.

Urban areas and suburbs witnessed water accumulation, with streets and drainage systems overflowing.

In a rare weather event, snowfall was reported in Ziarat Valley during April for the first time in 50 years. Temperatures in the region dropped below freezing, and surrounding mountains were covered in snow.

Authorities are monitoring the situation as adverse weather continues to affect daily life and agriculture in the province.
