CM Balochistan Orders Major Development Push: Fiber Internet in 1,100 Schools, Jobs for 60,000 Youth, Funds to Be Withdrawn from Negligent Departments

Quetta: In a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, key decisions were made to accelerate ongoing development projects under the PSDP.
The meeting set a target to provide fiber-optic internet to 1,100 educational institutions within six months and create employment opportunities for 60,000 youth under the Enterprise Development Program. Officials also reported progress on constructing additional rooms in 4,000 single-room schools, supplying modern machinery to 95 municipal committees, and implementing clean water projects in every union council. Additionally, 100,000 out-of-school children have been reintegrated into educational institutions.
The Chief Minister expressed strong displeasure over delays in funds for the People’s Train Service and directed that all projects be completed by June 30. He warned that departments failing to meet targets would have their funds withdrawn and reallocated to more efficient departments.
CM Bugti also emphasized the establishment of complaint cells at the tehsil level and accelerating reform measures to promote good governance across the province.
