Gold and Silver Prices Surge on Monday, May 26 – First Trading Day of the Week in Pakistan

KARACHI: On the first business day of the week, gold prices in Pakistan saw a significant increase, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. The association is expected to release updated prices after 2:00 PM today.
As of now, the price of 24-karat gold per tola stands at Rs. 354,100, while the price of 10 grams is Rs. 303,583 in major cities including Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Multan, and Peshawar.
On Saturday, the per tola price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs. 3,100, from Rs. 351,000 on Friday to Rs. 354,100. Similarly, the price for 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs. 2,658, reaching Rs. 303,583 from Rs. 300,925.
Prices for 22-karat gold also increased, with 10 grams now priced at Rs. 278,294, up Rs. 2,437 from Rs. 275,857 the previous day.
Silver prices experienced a rise as well. The price per tola of silver increased by Rs. 42, reaching Rs. 3,508, while 10 grams of silver are now selling at Rs. 3,007, up Rs. 36 from the previous rate of Rs. 2,971.
In the international market, the price of gold per ounce rose by $31, reaching $3,357, up from $3,326. Silver also saw an increase of $0.42, reaching $32.50 per ounce.
