Saad Rafique Criticizes Trump’s Speech, Calls It “Desperate and Misleading”

Lahore: Senior leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Khawaja Saad Rafique, has strongly criticized a recent speech by U.S. President Donald Trump, describing it as “the address of a losing gambler relying on lies and threats.”
In a statement posted on X, Rafique said that Trump’s actions against Iran have caused significant human and material losses, while undermining the credibility, dignity, and global standing of the United States. He added that by imposing war on Iran, Trump has isolated the U.S. internationally, with even its traditional allies distancing themselves.
Rafique further stated that Europe may now move towards a new strategic alignment, which could also impact the future of NATO. He remarked that Arab nations have begun to reassess America’s role, while suggesting that cooperation among Pakistan, Türkiye, and Saudi Arabia could establish a new balance of power in the region.
