Misleading Marketing Costs Multinational Company Heavily

Islamabad: The Competition Commission has imposed a hefty fine of 60 million Pakistani Rupees on a multinational company specializing in soap and hand wash products for misleading marketing practices.
According to a spokesperson for the Competition Commission, the company had falsely claimed that its products could completely eliminate germs. The spokesperson stated that the health and safety claims made by the company were not substantiated by scientific evidence. The misleading marketing practices were found to be in violation of Section 10 of the Competition Act 2010, leading to the significant fine.
