Senator Hafiz Hamdullah Criticizes Naseem Shah Over Controversial Remarks

Islamabad (Qudrat Roznama) – JUI-F leader Hafiz Hamdullah has criticized national cricketer Naseem Shah following his recent controversy, saying that while players are free to “swing the bat,” they must be cautious with their words.
In a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), Hafiz Hamdullah remarked, “Naseem Shah should remember one thing: there is freedom to swing the bat, but restrictions apply when it comes to speech.” He added that careless remarks could lead to serious consequences, including being dropped from the team or facing heavy fines.
The senator further criticized the current system, stating that remaining silent and avoiding controversial statements has become necessary in today’s environment. His comments come amid ongoing debate surrounding Naseem Shah’s social media activity and the disciplinary action taken against him.
