Police-Disguised “Robbery Gang” Busted in Quetta: Rs. 11.5 Crore Heist Solved, Officers Among Suspects

Quetta: The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of the Serious Crime Investigation Wing, Dr. Muhammad Sami Malik, revealed a major breakthrough in law enforcement during an emergency press conference, exposing a robbery gang operating in police uniforms.

Dr. Sami Malik stated that the Investigation Wing, using advanced technology and professional expertise, tracked and apprehended the group responsible for multiple serious crimes across various districts. The gang used police uniforms to loot citizens, and recovered items included both stolen property and police attire, sending a strong message against those committing crimes under the guise of law enforcement.

The investigation also resolved a high-profile heist worth Rs. 11.5 crore, with some police officers surprisingly found complicit in the crime. Those implicated have been taken into custody, and raids are ongoing to recover the full stolen amount.

Additionally, the Investigation Wing successfully solved several other cases, including the murder of an 80-year-old blind woman, a murder in Darani Tang near Sar-i-Ab, and a killing in East Bypass’s Khalifa Gali area. A recent sexual assault case involving a woman was also resolved within 48 hours, with the perpetrators swiftly apprehended.

Dr. Sami Malik emphasized that the police department will not tolerate “black sheep” within its ranks and vowed that officers committing crimes under the cover of uniforms will face the same stringent legal action as ordinary criminals. He reaffirmed the department’s commitment to speeding up investigations and ensuring the safety of Quetta’s citizens.
