Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan Announces Long March Against Injustice, Corruption, and Federal Interference

Quetta:Member of the Provincial Assembly and Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan, Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch, has announced a historic long march from Quetta to Islamabad on **July 25** to protest decades of injustice, lawlessness, and exploitation of Balochistan’s resources. The march aims to raise voice against Islamabad’s ruling elite, economic and political interference, and the imposition of mafias on the people of the province.
Speaking to party district leaders and officials, Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman said, *“For decades, the people of Balochistan have been deprived of basic rights — clean drinking water, quality education, healthcare, and employment. While the rulers in Islamabad remain busy in corruption and power politics, Balochistan suffers from poverty, underdevelopment, and lawlessness.”*
He criticized the role of security institutions in the province, alleging that instead of focusing on their constitutional security duties, they are involved in all other affairs. He also condemned increasing incidents of highway robberies, attacks on transport vehicles, and the burning of goods, calling for immediate action.
Maulana stated that the July 25 long march is not against any specific party or individual but is a peaceful movement against the corrupt system that has pushed Balochistan into darkness. He demanded that the province’s natural resources be handed back to its people to alleviate poverty and unemployment, not to be controlled by federal institutions or security forces.
He added, *“This march is a demand for clean water, justice, education, health, and employment. The people of Balochistan deserve peace and prosperity, not forced disappearances and destruction.”* He called on the public to join the movement, urging all district heads and party workers to participate actively under the leadership of the provincial Ameer.
Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman emphasized that Jamaat-e-Islami has always been a consistent voice for the rights of Balochistan, both inside and outside the assemblies, and vowed to continue this struggle for justice and constitutional rights.
