Black Smoke Engulfs Tehran After Oil Depot Attack; Rainwater Reportedly Mixed with Oil Particles

Islamabad: Thick black smoke covered large parts of Iran’s capital Tehran on Sunday morning following an overnight attack on an oil depot in the city.

According to a correspondent of CNN present in Tehran, dark clouds of smoke continued to hover over the city since early morning after the incident. The reporter described the situation as unusual and alarming, noting that when rainfall occurred in the city, oil particles appeared to mix with the rainwater.

The correspondent said that the rainwater turned black due to the presence of oil residues in the air, apparently caused by the burning fuel at the attacked depot. The development has raised concerns among residents about possible environmental and health impacts following the incident.

Authorities have not yet released detailed information about the extent of the damage or possible casualties, while investigations into the attack are reportedly underway.
