Shahid Afridi Criticizes Son-in-Law Shaheen Shah Afridi Over Bowling Decisions, Reveals Inside Details

Islamabad: Former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi has openly criticized his son-in-law and fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi for his performance in the final over against Sri Lanka.

Speaking on a private sports channel, Afridi said that despite playing for a long time, Shaheen still does not understand from which end to bowl the last over. “We have told him multiple times, yet he keeps repeating the same mistakes. When a right-hander is batting, the ‘round-the-wicket’ delivery should not be bowled, and if it has to be, it should be bowled inside the stumps, not outside,” he explained.

Afridi expressed frustration, saying, “I don’t know when our bowlers will understand these basics. They neither want to learn nor are learning. These players think only one or two people are responsible for the match while the rest can just focus on scoring runs.”

He further remarked that Pakistan cricket has fallen behind, while the rest of the cricketing world has advanced significantly.
