Two Daughters Arrested for Allegedly Murdering Father in Muzaffarnagar

Muzaffarnagar, India – In a shocking incident from Muzaffarnagar district, Uttar Pradesh, two biological daughters have been arrested for allegedly murdering their father.
According to police, 55-year-old Ram Prasad, a resident of the Morna area, was found dead on Monday morning on a charpoy (cot) inside his home, bloodied with multiple sharp-force injuries on his neck and body. His wife, Chandrakali, discovered the body around 7 a.m., raising an alarm that drew neighbors to the scene. Present at the home were the victim’s wife, two sons – Amit and Sameet – and two daughters.
Police and forensic teams arrived at the scene, collected evidence, and sent the body for postmortem. During initial questioning, inconsistencies in the family’s statements prompted separate interrogations of all members.
The elder daughter, 32-year-old Komal, and her 16-year-old younger sister reportedly confessed to the crime after repeated questioning. In early statements, Komal alleged that their father showed favoritism toward the sons and constantly criticized her for being unmarried and unemployed, causing distress for both sisters.
According to police, the sisters planned the murder after feeling humiliated and insulted by their father. Around 2 a.m. on the night of the incident, they allegedly attacked their sleeping father with a cleaver, killing him instantly, before returning to their room to sleep. Suspicion grew during the investigation, ultimately leading to the revelation of the crime.
The case has sent shockwaves through the local community, highlighting familial disputes escalating into violent crime.
