CTD Policeman Kidnapped by Armed Group in Bannu

Bannu: A police constable of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) was allegedly kidnapped by an armed group in Bannu, officials confirmed on Friday.
According to details, unidentified armed men set fire to the house of Constable Qadeer in the Dogar Umarzai area, which falls under the jurisdiction of Township Police Station, before abducting him.
Qadeer, son of Noor Zada and a resident of Dogar Umarzai, was posted at a CPEC police checkpoint at the time of the incident.
Reports said that a militant outfit identifying itself as the “Gidar Group Domel” claimed responsibility for the abduction. The group also reportedly shared information about the kidnapping of the CTD official on social media.
Sources stated that the abducted constable was taken to a जंगल area in Akbar Ali Khan Kallay, located in the Domel area.
Security forces have launched efforts to recover the kidnapped officer, while further investigation into the incident is underway.
