Registration Mandatory for All Unregistered Private Schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

**Islamabad (Qudrat Daily):** The **Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Department** has made it mandatory for all **unregistered private schools** in the province to register with the **Private Schools Regulatory Authority (PSRA)**.
In a circular issued to the chairpersons of all educational boards, the department stated that **unregistered private schools will not be allowed to enroll students in board examinations**, and **no private school can operate without proper registration**.
The circular highlighted that under the **Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Private Schools Regulatory Authority Act**, school registration is compulsory. Currently, **11,887 private schools** in the province are registered.
Authorities noted that **unregistered schools make it difficult to accurately track student numbers**, and according to the Act, schools cannot be opened or run without official registration.
