Governor of Balochistan Calls for Empowerment of Disabled Individuals and Inclusive Society

Quetta:The Governor of Balochistan, Jafar Khan Mandokhel, expressed concerns about the underutilization of human resources in Pakistan, particularly for individuals with disabilities. He pointed out that while developed nations have successfully used modern science and technology to enhance the capabilities of their citizens, especially the physically disabled, Pakistan has struggled to fully integrate its disabled population into society as productive citizens.
Mandokhel emphasized the stark contrast between the goals and priorities of developed and underdeveloped nations. He noted that advanced countries use technology to empower disabled individuals, turning them into philosophers and scientists, while Pakistan still faces challenges in making even its disabled people active members of the workforce. He highlighted the need for a national reevaluation of priorities, stressing that the government must ensure strict implementation of the reserved quota for disabled individuals in government employment.
During a meeting at the Governor House with the delegation of the “All Disabled Persons Welfare Society Balochistan,” led by the Chief Editor of *Daily Jang*, Khalil Sahab, and the Bureau Chief of *Express News Channel*, Reza-ur-Rahman, Mandokhel urged all special individuals to take full advantage of new technologies. He encouraged them not to limit themselves to outdated traditional concepts but to recognize that they possess unique abilities that can lead to innovative solutions in today’s rapidly changing world.
Mandokhel concluded by asserting that the government has a responsibility to build a society that values diversity and provides equal opportunities and facilities to both men and women to reach their full potential.
