Pakistan to Spend $1 Billion on Artificial Intelligence by 2030: PM Shehbaz Sharif

Islamabad:Prime Minister **Shehbaz Sharif** has announced that Pakistan will invest **$1 billion in artificial intelligence (AI) by 2030**, reaffirming the country’s commitment to keeping pace with global technological advancements.
Addressing the opening ceremony of **Indus AI Week**, the Prime Minister said that Pakistan is fully prepared and determined to move forward alongside the world in the field of artificial intelligence.
He stated that while AI offers immense benefits, it also presents significant challenges, adding that equipping the youth with **modern knowledge and advanced skills** is the need of the hour.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif further said that reforms in the **land record system** have made it possible to curb corruption. He noted that transparency in land records has been ensured and that the initiative has helped eliminate corruption among revenue officials.
The Prime Minister emphasized that technology-driven governance reforms are essential for improving efficiency, transparency, and public trust in state institutions.
