Punjab CM Approves New Uniforms for Lahore Traffic Police

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved new uniforms for Lahore’s traffic police, according to Geo News.

Following the approval, traffic wardens in Lahore will start wearing the new uniforms from February 14. In the first phase, the uniform change will be implemented only in Lahore.

According to the official notification, the second phase will cover districts including Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Multan, and Rawalpindi, while the third phase will extend the uniform change to other districts across Punjab.

The notification also stated that electric patrolling vehicles will be introduced, connected to the Safe Cities Authority. The use of electric vehicles is expected to save millions of rupees in fuel costs.
