Acting Senate Chairman Syed Al Khan Nasir Stresses Timely Completion of Development Projects to Prevent Losses and Boost National Progress

ISLAMABAD/QUETTA: Acting Senate Chairman **Syed Al Khan Nasir** has emphasized that the timely completion of development projects is crucial not only for public convenience but also to prevent **losses to the national treasury, unnecessary delays, and wastage of resources**. He stressed that ongoing government projects must maintain **transparency, quality, and speed** to benefit both citizens and government departments, ultimately advancing the country’s development.
Nasir made these remarks during meetings with the **Director General of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA)** and the **Secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Works**. The discussions focused on institutional affairs, ongoing projects, and challenges at the national level.
The FIA Director General briefed Nasir on the agency’s overall performance, ongoing investigations, and various aspects of national security. He highlighted recent operations, crackdowns, special investigative campaigns, use of modern digital technology, and measures to address public complaints promptly. The briefing also covered actions against **cybercrime, cross-border criminal activities, money laundering, human smuggling, and other serious offenses**.
Praising the FIA’s performance, Nasir said that **transparent investigations, professionalism, and strong national institutions** are essential for the country’s security.
