PCB Stands Firm: Pakistan Will Not Play February 15 Match Against India

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has maintained its principled stance, informing the ICC Deputy Chief that it will not play the scheduled match against India on February 15.
According to sources, the President of the Bangladesh Cricket Board Amin Islam, ICC Deputy Chairman Imran Khawaja, and a conciliatory ICC delegation arrived in Pakistan, where PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi welcomed them at the Gaddafi Stadium.
During the meeting at PCB headquarters in Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, Chairman Mohsin Naqvi presented Pakistan’s position clearly to the ICC Deputy Chief. Sources confirmed that PCB is firm on its decision not to play India in Colombo on February 15. The decision not to play is being taken by the Government of Pakistan.
PCB sources stated that the decision to skip the match against India in the T20 World Cup rests with the government, and any future decision regarding playing against India will also be made solely by the government.
