NEPRA Approves 28-Paise Increase in Electricity Tariff for February Bills

Islamabad — The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved an increase in electricity prices as part of the December fuel price adjustment, adding to consumers’ monthly bills.
According to the official notification issued by NEPRA, the electricity tariff will rise by 28 paisa per unit, effective from the February billing cycle. The price hike will apply to all consumers across Pakistan, including K-Electric customers.
The adjustment comes under NEPRA’s regular fuel price adjustment mechanism, which reflects fluctuations in fuel costs that impact electricity generation. The increase is expected to add an additional financial burden to households and businesses in the coming month.
