Election Irregularities Exposed in PB-40: Missing Voter Records and Polling Station Forms

Quetta: Serious electoral irregularities have been uncovered in the PB-40 constituency following a report by NADRA (National Database and Registration Authority) and the Election Commission. The findings, presented in response to a directive from the Election Tribunal of the Balochistan High Court, reveal discrepancies in voter records and polling station documentation.
According to the report, while Form 48 recorded 31,167 votes, the Election Commission only provided NADRA with counter files for 25,415 votes, leaving a gap of 5,752 missing votes. Furthermore, the electoral roll for the constituency listed 31,167 eligible voters, yet only 13,918 voters’ records were made available to NADRA, with 17,249 voters’ information completely absent.
In total, 73 polling stations were set up in the constituency, but NADRA only received Form 45 from 67 of them, with six forms still unaccounted for. These significant irregularities have raised concerns about the credibility of the election in PB-40, and further legal proceedings and hearings are expected as a result of these findings.
