Chennai: Renowned Indian actor **Rajinikanth** has gifted a **gold chain** to a sanitation worker named **Padma** in recognition of her honesty.

According to Indian media, last month while cleaning streets near a temple in Chennai, Padma found a bag full of gold jewelry. She promptly handed it over to the police. The authorities tracked down the owner and returned the bag. In recognition of her honesty, the **Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu** also awarded Padma **INR 100,000**.

Padma’s act of integrity garnered widespread media attention. Inspired by her honesty, South Indian film superstar Rajinikanth invited Padma to his residence and personally presented her with a gold chain.
