Rain Expected in Plains, Snowfall Forecast in Hilly Areas of Balochistan, Punjab, and KP

Rain is expected in the plains of Balochistan, Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while snowfall is likely in the mountainous regions, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

The PMD stated that another western weather system is entering northern Balochistan via Iran, which may bring rain and snowfall to several areas. Under the influence of this system, rain is expected in Quetta, Chaman, Qila Abdullah, Ziarat, Jungle Pir Alizai, Gulistan, and Pishin. Snowfall is also likely in upper areas, including Khojak Top, Shela Bagh, and Loi Band.

Authorities added that several link roads remain closed due to previous snowfall, and clearance operations are still underway to restore connectivity.

Meanwhile, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a warning of possible avalanches and landslides in mountainous regions of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to forecast rain and snowfall from today until February 4.
