Eliminating Extremism Biggest Challenge, Youth to Be Supported Through Business Facilitation Center: Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani

**Quetta:** Provincial Minister for Education Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani has said that eliminating extremism is the biggest challenge facing Balochistan and the country, and it requires collective efforts from all segments of society.
She expressed these views while addressing the concluding ceremony of a three-day policy dialogue on Countering Violent Extremism (CVE), organized by the Balochistan Home Department. The event was also addressed by Vice Chairman Balochistan Board of Investment and Trade Bilal Kakar, Additional Secretary Home Mamoon Hameed, Additional Inspector General of Police and Commandant Balochistan Constabulary Agha Muhammad Yousaf, Dr Abdul Qadir, Chief Coordination Officer CVE Dr Dost Muhammad Baloch, Dr Ismatullah, and others.
Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani emphasized that reforms in the education curriculum were essential to promote positive thinking among youth, which could lead them toward a brighter future. She said the provincial government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, was taking concrete steps to reopen closed schools, ensure merit-based recruitment of teachers, and provide adequate funding to universities.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chairman BOI&T Bilal Kakar announced that a Business Facilitation Center would be inaugurated soon to promote entrepreneurship and investment in the province. He said the center would provide facilities to youth to start their own businesses instead of relying solely on government jobs. According to him, file processing at the center would be completed within 15 days, and in case of delays, an auto-generated email would be sent to the Secretary and Chief Secretary.
Additional Secretary Home Mamoon Hameed said the participation of media representatives, professors, religious scholars, and law enforcement agencies in the policy dialogue was commendable, as it helped in formulating strategies for a better future for the youth.
During the ceremony, Dr Dost Muhammad also gave a detailed presentation highlighting Balochistan’s geo-economic potential.
